Vocal recital by Vid Suchitra Holla

Vid SuchitraHolla will perform a vocal recital at VeeneSeshannaBhavana, Adichunchanagiri Road, Kuvempunagar on Saturday 14th April 2018 at 6:00 p m. She would be accompanied by Vid C N Thyagarajan on Violin, Vid B S Anand on Mridanga and Vid Vikram Bharadwaj on Ghata. The concert is open to all.

ViduSuchitraHolla, hailing from Ujire of BelthangadiTaluq, is the daughter of Smt MookambikaHolla and reputed YakshaganaBhagavathar Sri SrinivasaHolla. Initiated into music by her father very early in childhood, Suchitra obtained higher training from KarnatakaKalashree Vid NeelaRamagopal, Vid Kudmar Venkataramana, ViduShyamala Nagaraj and Vid G S Kamala of Mysore. She has obtained third rank in Senior music and first rank in Vidwat and first rank in M Music from Karnataka Open University.In addition she also holds L L B, M com, and M B A degrees. Graded B High artist of AIR Mangalore, Suchitra has given more than five hundred performances all over the state. After serving as a music teacher at SandeshaLalithakalaMahavidyalaya, Mangalore and Govt. Pre degree college, she is presently training many students in her own SadhanaSangeethaVidyalaya at Puttur. In recognition of her contribution to music she has been honoured by SpandanaLalithakala Kendra, NagarikaSeva Trust, Belthangadiand SangeethaParishat, Mangalore.
